Nautilus and Sovren Crew relaunch partnership for large yacht members

26 June 2017

Yacht members in Spain have continued access to crew recruitment and training resources under a relaunched Memorandum of Understanding between Nautilus International and Sovren Crew (formerly Dovaston Crew).

The memorandum between the two organisations was agreed at the Palma Superyacht Show. Sovren Crew, based in Palma de Mallorca, has had long-standing links with the Union's strategic yacht partnerships network under the 'Dovaston Crew' name throughout the past 10 years.

Sovren Crew forms part of the larger Sovren House Group, which provides crew training at the Sovren Academy in Barcelona, and yacht management, chartering and brokerage services around the world. The group also opened Sovren Marina in Ibiza on 1 June 2017, providing berths for up to 16 yachts ranging from 60m to 185m.

Nautilus strategic organiser Danny McGowan, strategic organiser, said: 'It was a pleasure to meet with Sovren Crew director Helen Warren, and her team in Palma. It is essential for the Union to continue developing excellent relationships with our strategic partners, as they really help us to spread the message about Nautilus across the industry.

'Other organisations that wish to demonstrate their commitment to crew safety, welfare and professionalism – in the way Sovren Crew has done – are always encouraged to get in touch with us to see if there are ways we can work together.'
