Nautilus has further enhanced its services for superyacht seafarers, by welcoming two new strategic partners into its network.
Two new Memorandum of Understanding agreements have been signed with Yotspot - an online jobs and courses community for crew; and Red Square Medical – which delivers training, telemedicine, consultancy and travel health services to the maritime industry.
In common with the Union's other strategic partnerships, the new partners will recommend Nautilus membership to the individual officers, crew and shore-based workers they attract.
Both also are committed to the professionalism, safety and welfare of maritime professionals working at sea and ashore across the maritime industry.
Yotspot has been a successful online community since launching in 2010, bringing captains, crew and employers together for jobs, sailing opportunities, courses and other opportunities in the superyacht sector.
Based in Southampton, UK, they have over 45,000 registered crew with over 10,000 jobs advertised each year by yachts, management companies and recruitment agencies. They also have a searchable database of over 6,000 maritime courses.
Additionally, Yotspot's sister website is Cruiserecruit - which provides a jobs board platform for shipping companies and agencies and cruise crew job seekers including deck officers and engineering officers, as well as the full range of onboard services.
Red Square Medical offers a range of maritime medical services, from specially tailored training courses, and telemedicine, to consultancy for clinical audits and other reviews, MCA compliant medical kits for vessels, and emergency response reviews such as for the new drills required for the REG Yacht Code which came into force in January 2019. It also partners with the Maritime Skills Academy in Dover to deliver STCW courses, and with Maritime Aviation Support, Training and Consultancy to deliver medical and helicopter training packages.
