At the Nautilus Mariners' Park Estate, a service to mark Armistice Day on Monday 11 November conducted by Rev Alan Leach was attended by over 60 retired mariner residents, family, friends, and staff as well as some contractors from the building project currently taking place on the site. The Red Ensign flag was lowered by resident and former catering officer/purser Rob Keith; a wreath was laid by director of welfare and care Andrew Jones, and newcomer resident Ian Johnston, a former radio and safety officer who has lived at Mariners' Park for five months.
